Privacy Policy

Focus Block does not have a server that stores your data. Your sessions, your city, and the apps you choose to block stay on your device — and, if you turn on sync, in your own iCloud account, which we cannot read.

WHAT WE COLLECT

Nothing is sent to us. Focus Block has no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no advertising identifier and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not operate accounts, and we never ask you for an email address to use the app.

WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE

• Focus sessions — start times, durations and which profile you used.
• Your city — the blocks you have earned and the buildings you have placed.
• Profiles and schedules — your focus rhythms and recurring blocks.
• Sound preferences — soundscape choices and ambient mix levels.

ICLOUD SYNC

If you enable sync, the data above is written to your personal iCloud private database so it can follow you between your own devices. This is Apple infrastructure tied to your Apple Account. We have no access to it, no ability to read it, and no copy of it. Turning sync off keeps everything local to the device.

SCREEN TIME AND APP BLOCKING

App blocking uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework. When you choose apps or categories to block, iOS returns an opaque token — a reference that only the system can resolve. Focus Block never learns which apps you selected, cannot read your usage history, and cannot see what you do in any other app. That information stays inside iOS.

NFC TAGS

If you use a physical Focus tag, the app reads the tag's identifier to start or unlock a session. Tag scans are processed on the device and are not transmitted anywhere.

MUSIC AND AUDIO

Soundscape audio is delivered to the app for playback. Focus Block does not use your microphone, and does not listen to or record anything around you.

PURCHASES

Any purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details.

CHILDREN

Focus Block is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. Since the app collects no personal data at all, there is nothing for us to hold.

YOUR CONTROL

Deleting the app removes its local data from your device. To remove synced data, turn off iCloud sync for Focus Block in your iOS Settings, or delete the app's data from your iCloud storage. Because we hold nothing, there is no account to close and no deletion request to file with us.

CHANGES

If this policy changes, the updated date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
